The Department of Community Resources oversees the delivery of direct services to citizens for the Department of Public Transportation and Office on Aging divisions, and serves, on a county-wide scale, as the government's liaison for local human services agencies.
The Department of Economic Development monitors economic trends and works to execute business programs that complement Calvert County. The department's goal is to attract and retain strong, healthy and dynamic companies of all sizes and industries. The department also markets the county's tourism and visitor attractions.
The Department of Finance & Budget is responsible for providing county management with timely and accurate information for decision making; maintaining a standard of excellence in financial reporting and budgeting; safeguarding assets; and adding value to accounting data through financial analysis.
The Department of Human Resources provides employment-related services to current employees, managers, and the job-seeking public. We provide information regarding employment opportunities and assist with obtaining county government employment.
The Division provides opportunities for healthful, enjoyable, lifetime leisure activities to our entire community through a comprehensive program of recreational activities in the community centers, aquatic facilities, the public schools, and the county parks. The division is also responsible for the management, maintenance, and development of the county's active recreation parks
The Department of Public Safety is Calvert County's guide center for emergency reference, resources and assistance. The department also serves as the liaison between county, state and federal Homeland Security teams. We work in conjunction with the Calvert County Sheriff's Office, Maryland State Police and Natural Resources Police in the enforcement of federal, state and local laws.
The Department of Public Works is comprised of Engineering/Transportation, Project Management, Fleet Maintenance, Highway Maintenance, Water and Sewerage and the Solid Waste Divisions.
