Adult Protective Services (APS) provides investigations for appropriate reports of abuse, neglect, self-neglect and exploitation of vulnerable adults. For reports that meet the requirements of Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) and the Maryland State APS program manual, an investigator will gather information, provide crisis intervention as necessary and plan risk reduction through use of Calvert County Department of Social Services (CCDSS) programs and other community resources. There is no charge for this service.

You should report suspected abuse or neglect to the local department of social services or to a local law enforcement agency. Reports may be made anonymously.

Call 443-550-6969 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to report suspected child abuse or neglect.

Call 866-898-9848 to make a CPS report between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on weekdays, weekends and state holidays.
