Emergency Medical Services Advisory Committee

Overview

The council prepares and oversees the implementation of comprehensive emergency medical service plans and represents the interest of the county in regional, state, interstate, and federal emergency medical services planning and programs.

Composition

There shall be 15 members. Three at-large members (one from each voting district) shall be appointed by the BOCC, and one member shall be appointed from each of the following agencies or organizations:

  • Calvert Control Center
  • Calvert Rescue Dive Team
  • Each Emergency Medical Service Company (Companies 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and Calvert Advanced Life Support)
  • Emergency Department Nursing
  • Medical Director
  • Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department

The term of each member shall be two years, and members may not serve for more than two consecutive full terms.

Open Meetings

  • 7 pm
  • Third Wednesday of each month - No meeting scheduled for June or December
  • Calvert Advanced Life Support, Prince Frederick, MD
