Public Hearing: Calvert County Board of County Commissioners will Consider Proposed Amendments to the Calvert County Comprehensive Plan

The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. in the Harriet E. Brown Community Center, 901 Dares Beach Rd, Prince Frederick, Maryland. The Public Hearing time, date, and location may be revised due to emergency, such as inclement weather, without further publication, and may be confirmed by calling any number listed below. At the Hearing, the Board will receive comments regarding proposed amendments to the Calvert County Comprehensive Plan, adopted August 2019. The proposed amendments would reduce or eliminate the future expansions for the Huntingtown, Lusby, Prince Frederick, and Solomons Town Centers.

The proposed provisions may be substantively modified based upon the record. Individuals may submit written comments in advance of the hearing. Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2022 and may be submitted via the County’s website or through the U.S. mail to the County Commissioners at 175 Main Street, Prince Frederick, MD 20678. Written comments will be accepted at the County Commissioners’ public hearing up until the close of the record; people delivering comments to the hearing are encouraged to bring fifteen copies for the County Commissioners, staff, and the media.
